This past holiday weekend my family and I went to visit the windy city for a little shopping, college visiting, and thanksgiving. This was the first time I'd ever been to the city over Thanksgiving, so it was interesting to see how people dressed for the holidays, as well as
shopped for the holidays. Let me tell you, black Friday was NUTS. People were lined up in front of the Best Buy in the John Hancock building the morning of Thanksgiving! Crazy! And on the actual day of madness, the streets were
packed with sale-crazed peeps.
I escaped it all for the beginning of the day by going to visit Lake Forest college, but I couldn't resist going with my dad to Topshop when he had to go get a different suit size. I didn't think I would get anything while I was there, as we had gone in two days prior to shop around, but I saw a gorgeous red, velvet turban on a mannequin, and I had to inquire as to if there were anymore. The sales lady said no, and took the one on the mannequin off, handing it to me.
SCORE. I walked out of the store feeling very successful.
So the only places I shopped on Black Friday were Topshop and Sprinkles (a very delicious cupcake store you should all check out!).
